THE FUNERAL DIRECTOR

World Premiere – Edinburgh Fringe Development Season

Jim Lindsay has spent a lifetime peering into the shadows of the funeral industry, and in The Funeral Director, he finally invites you to join him. This one‑man show isn’t the black comedy you might expect — it’s a strangely compelling, thoughtful, and quietly surprising wander through the rituals, realities, and quiet absurdities of the business of dying.

Jim’s delivery is gentle, his storytelling calm and considered, yet he still manages to deliver jaw-dropping moments that leave you wondering: Does that really happen? Joined onstage by the very‑much‑dead Mrs McKenzie, he lifts the lid on the trade with a provocateur’s instinct and a deep fascination for the truths polite society prefers to keep buried.

Developed for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, this hour‑long world premiere offers a rare chance to experience a show that challenges, surprises, and leaves you pondering one final question: Is a dog really a dead man’s best friend?

2 shows: Fri 6th Nov & Sat 7th Nov @ 7pm. Tickets $20 each.
